Northern Lights Photography Hunting is your best chance to find the aurora borealis! Our professional hunters will drive you in the most promising locations, based on the weather forecast and solar wind data to optimize your chance. We will take high quality photos for you with a professional camera. Photos we will send you by email.

Our aurora hunting tour departs from Rovaniemi,  Lapland. The tours are organized from the end of August until beginning of April on nights when seeing auroras is possible. 

Where are we heading? It depends on the night, we are carefully following weather forecasts and how clouds are moving along. Based on this information we will choose the right direction and location to go out of city lights and light pollution.

Time: daily departures in the evenings from Rovaniemi. Starting time depends on the weather forecast.

Please note:

• Cold weather clothing will be needed and we recommend to dress appropriately. Be prepared and use good under-layers, socks, hats and gloves.

• We can't promise that you will see the aurora borealis, but we will do everything to ensure that you have the best possible chance to do so. We will select locations carefully and study weather forecasts in advance and during the evening.

Northern Lights Picnic Experience

Northern lights picnic experience is located (aprox. 30 min drive) away from the city lights. Private lakeside location facing to the north gives us a great chance to see aurora borealis. During the evening we will make an open fire in the hut and we will enjoy hot berry juice and sausages made by aurora guide. This tour is suitable for people of all ages who enjoy being in nature.

Overnight Northern Lights Trip

Once in a lifetime northern lights experience in true Lapland, Karesuvanto. A memorable and experiential northern lights tour to true Lapland nature.

Karesuvanto is located along the Muoniojoki, Arm in Lapland. In Karesuvanto, the possibility of northern lights is higher due to the geographical location.

Why to book our overnight northern light experience to Karesuvanto? On this tour weather is often better than in the city and you can see northern lights clearly than in the city because there is no city lights in the air.

This tour offers a great opportunity to take photos of the northern lights in the middle of magnificent arctic nature in true Lapland.

We will make a open fire in our traditional Lappish hut and we will enjoy dinner and warm drinks while enjoying northern lights and arctic nature.

We will stay overnight in our Villa Suopursu, Karesuvanto, where we will heat a traditional finnish sauna in the evening and enjoy evening snack with beverages as well.

Villa Suopursu is a traditional log cabin with all equipments like kitchen, sauna, toilet, shower, fireplace, tv.

After breakfast there is an opportunity to buy souvenirs and visit the Swedish side before the return trip to Rovaniemi. Along the way, e.g. popular ski center Levi.
