Villa Saananjuuri is located in Kilpisjärvi, about four kilometers north of K-Market Kilpishalli.

The Kilpisjärvi fells, Malla and Saana, are part of the edge of the Skandie mountain range. Malla is protected as a nature park, and Saana is protected by two nature reserves. Arm of Lapland's large fell area is part of the Sámi cultural landscape. On the nearby trails of Kilpisjärvi you can get to know the wind-swept fells, lush groves and rare plants and animals. The high peaks of Norway and Sweden stand out on the horizon.

Villa Saananjuuri is a cozy villa in the unique scenery of Kilpisjärvi. Kilpisjärvi services are very close to the villa. Direct line of sight from the cottage to Saanatunturi and Kilpisjärvi.

Suurtunturi and the Arm of Lapland’s wilderness area create excellent opportunities for many kinds of nature hobbies. The destination is suitable for vacations, it is also an excellent base for active enthusiasts, families and deserters.

Location of Villa Saananjuuri is a hikers paradise, as you can go hiking right from the door. Hiking and skiing trails start very close by, and you can admire the stunning scenery from the cottage’s courtyard.

Kilpisjärvi Nature Center 5 km, Saanatunturi trail either 200m from the Camping Center or 2 km from the Malla nature park parking lot, Malla nature park parking lot 2 km, 8 km to the Norwegian border. Skibotn, Norway 49km, Tromssa, Norway 162km.

The cottage has a living room/kitchen, two bedrooms, a toilet, a sauna, a shower room and a utility room. There is a large parking area in the yard.

Please note: The customer must bring his own sheets and towels, and clean the apartment before leaving. Final cleaning can be purchased as an additional service. You can get the code for the key locker by calling or sending an email on the day of arrival at the latest.

Next to the villa is another villa, Villa Pikku Saana, which can be rented as additional accommodation if your traveling party needs more beds. Please check availability when booking.

If you are traveling in a motorhome, this one-room villa is well suited as a caravan villa and base.

The villa has two single beds, a sauna and a fireplace.

Please note: The villa does not have a kitchen or toilet. The customer must bring his own sheets and towels, and clean the apartment before leaving. The final cleaning must be done by the customer. You can get the code for the key locker by calling or sending an email on the day of arrival at the latest.

The Villa can also be used as additional accommodation if you have booked the adjacent Villa Saananjuuri.

Equipments: Living room with fireplace, coffee maker, microwave, electric kettle, table, two single beds, wooden sauna and washroom with water pot. There is no kitchen in the cottage, but there is a four-burner gas grill on the terrace, which can be used by customers. There is a refrigerator in the cottage. The cottage does not have an indoor toilet, but there is a Bajamaja in the yard of the cottage for customers to use.
